United States Pyramid of Honor - Congressional Medal of Honour

.

Every nation has its premier distinction for bravery in the face of the enemy; in the case of the United States of America, that distinction is the Medal of Honor.

~

Citizens and residents of the United States, please read the following:

The offerings on this page are made with the deepest respect to the men and women of the United States Armed Forces; particularly those who have risked and sacrificed much, and, perhaps all, to attain their nation's highest award for bravery.

The medals offered on this page are directed towards hobbyists who very much revere and respect what these medals stand for.

Through no fault of legitimate collectors, based on the acts of a small minority of individuals who have lowered themselves to lying about having won the Medal of Honor and wearing these fine distinctions, a badly-drafted piece of legislation has found its way into being: "The Stolen Valor Act."

While the intent of the Act is laudable, it has gone too far in making the sale of an original or reproduction of the Medal of Honor illegal.

In its current form, this law has been struck down as unconstitutional but residents of the U.S. should be aware that proponents of the Act keep testing and pushing to have it re-instated.

In Canada, where these medals are being offered, no such law is on the books. We have our own law that makes it illegal to wear medals that you have not rightly earned but that is as far as it goes.  And, dealing here, in Canada, such transactions are construed under Canadian law.

Originally gazetted in XXXX, the Medal of Honour has gone through a number of transformations to evolve into the three distinctive decorations that are the Medal of Honour, today:

1.  The Medal of Honor for U.S. Navy, USMC and U.S. Coast Guard personnel:  The most traditional of all of the MOH designs.

2.  The Medal of Honor for the U.S. Army:  Adapted from the US Navy design:

3.  The Medal of Honor for the U.S. Air Force:  A relative newcomer, the USAF has developed its own, distinctive design:

(Please check for availability and pricing on all of the above.)
